Tune in for a special Halloween episode of The Locher Room on Thursday, October 31 at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. featuring Alla Korot, the actress who first rose to daytime stardom as Jenna Norris on Another World (1990-93).

Korot, who emigrated to the United States with her parents in 1976, spent six years touring with Ballet Celeste International, a ballet school in San Francisco, CA dedicated to training children in the theatrical art form. The Ukrainian-American beauty later went on to compete in and win California Miss T.E.E.N. in 1987 at the age of 17.

A Walk Down Soap Memory Lane

Daytime audiences first became familiar with Korot when she landed her first contract role as Jenna on Another World, the sweet adopted daughter of Felicia Gallant and Lucas Castiglione who caught the eye of Matthew Cory and Dean Frame. Korot went on to play Allie Doyle on All My Children (1997-98), a young doctor who sought residence at Pine Valley Hospital and was quickly hired by Dr. Joe Martin. Allie’s romance with Jake Martin was threatened by her past with Dr. David Hayward.

Korot had a short but memorable stint on General Hospital: Night Shift in 2007 portraying Stacy Sloan, a character who died due to complications from HIV. She appeared on the main soap, Genera Hospital, in 2017 playing Nurse Danya at the Russian clinic where Jason (Steve Burton) and Ava (Maura West) were both patients. In between, Korot made a brief appearance on Days of our Lives (2016) as Janet Bernard, a character who came to Salem searching for her missing brother, Clark.

In addition to soaps, Korot has appeared on numerous prime-time series including 911, MacGyver, ER, Charmed, 24, NCIS, Castle, and Grimm, as well as in the TV movies Gone But Not Forgotten and Jane Doe: Yes, I Remember It Well.

Korot will share behind-the-scenes stories from her work on the aforementioned projects, discuss her entrepreneurial journey with her skincare line L’uvalla and more during her interview on The Locher Room. Set your reminders now, so you won’t miss it.
